In keeping with one of Creating Better Outcomes’ core values of continuous improvement, or Kaizen, our Managing Director Harry MacLean recently completed the Harvard Business School online course in Disruptive Strategy.

Created by the late Clay Christensen, who coined the theory of disruptive innovation, the course followed five modules and had three written assessments – team, joint and individual.
The modules covered were:-
Aligning with Innovation and Disruption
Jobs To Be Done
Organizing for Innovation
Maintaining a Disruptive Scope
Managing the Strategy Development Process
Harry MacLean had this to say about the course, “The intention was to update my thinking on some topics key to our colleague base, and the course went much further than that. It became fully immersive from the first moment with an outstanding delivery platform, excellent analysis and the opportunity to work with fellow learners around the world and sharing ideas on the future, even in the harshest of Covid-19 times.
The willingness of individuals from massive multi-national companies to exchange thoughts and ideas with an SME like Creating Better Outcomes was a key feature and meeting people from Nike, Peleton, PwC, Morgan Stanley and others equally as big was a key feature. My group work involved individuals from India, Malaysia and Argentina and through the platform I also worked with people across the rest of the world.
Overall, a highly recommended course and experience which will benefit Creating Better Outcomes and our colleague businesses for years to come.”
